Review: 1More Piston Fit BT In-Ear Headphones

With the abundance of in-ear bluetooth headphones out there, the technology becomes wider spread and can be found across a variety of price points. 1More, who are known for their high end in-ear wired headphones with multiple drivers and stylish in-ear bluetooth headphones, have released a new bluetooth headphone with a more affordable price.

The 1More Piston Fit BT In-Ear Headphones are a pair of earbuds that connect by wire around the neck with plastic capsules that sit on the listener’s shoulders while using them. The controls are on the right side to power, raise and lower volume, and to play and pause the music.

The earbuds are rather comfortable. Once they go into the ear, the soft rubber is comfortable and the angled tips direct the sound well. They block out most of the outside noise, but still have a little leakage to keep an ear out for the surroundings. The capsules balance the wire fairly well, but can have a tendency to shift and pull slightly at the headphones.

The 1More Piston Fit BT In-Ear Headphones are purported to have an 8 hour battery life. I was easily able to use them for a full work day, including commuting to and from work, proving the high quality of the batteries used by 1More.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the sound. While the 1More Piston Fit BT In-Ear Headphones had really crisp highs and decent midrange, the low end was almost non-existent. Classical music sounded fantastic and podcasts sounded great, but listening to rock music was a less than positive experience. There was just no bass, and listening to any serious hard rock or metal just did not sound right.

While the 1More Piston Fit BT In-Ear Headphones felt great in the ear and has a very affordable price point, the lack of bass makes them a poor choice. I would recommend spending a little more and getting headphones with a full audio range.
