I say be brave and do the villiany thing. people may hate you in the short term, but they’ll appreciate you on a longer timelines. That being said, do what you think is right and what your instinct tells you to, not because you expect karmic remuneration, even though that will likely be the outcome, at least that is what my experience tells me.
