Review: Nike Fuelband

One of the hottest products to debut at SXSW this year was the Nike Fuelband. Lines formed every morning to purchase the hot new Nike fitness device at the parking lot that was the public headquarters for Nike. A month after returning from Austin, TX, I picked one up for myself.

A year ago, I ran around Prospect Park and down Ocean Parkway to a finish line on Coney Island. 13.1 miles through Brooklyn on a quest to complete my second half marathon, and my first in New York. A year later, I returned to run it again in my quest to run in the 2013 New York marathon.

In the six years since LEGO Mindstorms NXT was released (and four years since NXT 2.0), LEGO has released little beyond the basic kits for building robots. The problem is that the system is so versatile and they have released such limited documentation, which is where books and websites come in. One such book is The Art of LEGO Mindstorms NXT-G Programming by Terry Griffin.

Four years in the making, Marvel Entertainment has been building up to their Avengers movie. Ever since Sam Jackson appeared in a scene after the credits in Iron Man, fanboys have been salivating in anticipation of the eventual Avengers movie. Five movies later, the fans have gotten what they were waiting for.

Bronx Zoo Run For The Wild 5K 2012

Two years ago, I ran my first race. A 5K through the roads of the Bronx Zoo in order to raise money for tigers in the wild. I returned for the third time to run the Bronx Zoo again and raise money for lions.
