Recap: NYC Half Marathon 2014

After running three marathons last year, I decided I was going to take it easy for the first half of this year. No major races while I let my body recuperate from all those small injuries that accumulate from pushing so hard. When the NYC Half Marathon lottery opened, I thought I would get an entry and see what would happen. When I was granted an entry, I decided to just run it rather than race it.

Review: LEGO Space: Building the Future

LEGO builders tend to favor certain themes to build in. One of the most popular themes is Space, which encompasses moonbases, spaceships, mech suits, and other science fiction type builds. With the popularity of Space, it only makes sense that No Starch Press would put out a book focusing on Space building with LEGO Space: Building the Future by Peter Reid and Tim Goddard.

Review: Withings Pulse

I am a big believer in the quantified self. I like using apps and devices to track my health, running, and other activities. When I came across the Withings Pulse, it piqued my curiosity because it was a fitness tracker that was able to work with other devices to track the user’s health.
