The Modular LEGO Apple Store

When ILUGNY was going to do a train layout at BrickFair this year, I wanted to create a new building for it. I have been inspired by the designs by Apple for a long time, so I decided my contribution to the layout would be an Apple Store in the modular format that the buildings in the layout adhere to.

RIP Steve Jobs

Genius, visionary, innovator… these adjectives and more have been used to describe Steve Jobs, a man who revolutionized the personal computer market (with Steve Wozniak), animated films, the music industry and the post-personal computer market. On October 5, he finally succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 56, the day after Tim Cook took the stage to introduce the latest iPhone.

Apple, Lala and The Beatles

On Monday, Apple changed the frontpage of their website to announce their next big thing. “Tomorrow is just another day. That you will never forget.” teased the “exciting announcement” on their website along with clocks citing world times – 10 am in New York and 7 am in California for those of us in the United States – and at that time came the most anti-climactic announcement since Steve Jobs returned to Apple, the Beatles have come to the iTunes store.

Review: iPad

Like many others last Saturday, I purchased the latest Apple product to hit the market, the iPad. I gave my first impressions at the beginning of the week, but I have used it fairly extensively over the past week and hardened my opinions of the device.

iPad First Impressions

Like many others on Saturday, I purchased Apple’s latest device, the iPad. After 2 days of use, I’ve gotten my first impressions as I have gotten acclimated with the device.

Emulators for the Droid

As gaming has advanced in leap and bounds over the last 20-30 years, the gameplay has become more complex and the graphic have become more realistic. Games continue to push the envelope of what is possible on a console and PC, but people continue to pine for the simpler games and the classics continue to thrive. A majority of these games can be played on the Droid phone via emulators of the classic consoles and computers.
