Road to the NY Marathon: 5th Avenue Mile

With my continued goal of running in the ING NYC Marathon, I signed up for seven races for my eligibility for the 2012 marathon before joining the American Cancer Society’s team for the 2011 marathon. As I train for the 2011 marathon, I will be running these races to run it in 2012.

Road To the NY Marathon: I Am Running in the 2011 ING NYC Marathon!

I have been running consistently for the past 19 months. From February 2010 to the present, I have gone out in sun, rain and snow in order to train and become a better runner. I have run 5ks and half marathons, working hard to achieve greater distances and better times each time I went out. Having completed half marathons, the next step would be a full marathon, and as of today, I am running in the ING New York City Marathon in November, the largest marathon in the world.

I am Displaying at the World Maker Faire

After years of being a fan of Make Magazine, it was an amazing experience to be part of the inaugural World Maker Faire last year. Seeing all the cool projects created by makers was truly inspiring and it’s an honor to be displaying my work with them again this year.

We are in a new age of music startups. From Turntable.fm to Spotify, plenty of new startups are creating cloud based music listening options to share music with friends. One such new startup is Promusic.fm, a new site that allows a user to create new and share new radio stations online.

BrickFair 2011 Recap

After last year’s BrickFair, I decided I wanted to be more involved in the event. I stepped up as the “Movie/TV/Book” theme coordinator to help set up the tables and get things organized. After wishing my grandmother a very happy 100th birthday, I flew out to Washington, D.C. Once there, it was time to join the other Lego builders and get to work.

Happy 100th Birthday Grandma

As I lounge poolside in the sunshine state, I’ve come here for a most auspicious occasion, the hundredth anniversary of the birth of my mother’s mother. My Grandmother is celebrating her centennial birthday here in sunny Florida and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of the celebration.
